The photo above is one I took on a trip in May of 2006 to a wealthy neighborhood in Virginia for my uncle's wedding. I was biking with my cousin on a dirt road when I came across this beautiful scene.
My experience with Flickr was nothing extraordinary. I have experience using Photobucket, so I didn't have many difficulties with the site. I did find that Flickr seems to have more photos of an artistic nature than Photobucket has. I don't have many concerns with my photos being in such a public place. Concerning my daughter, I find the odds relatively slim that anyone would steal her picture. Concerning my photography or the photos of my paintings, I have little concern because I want to share my work and really don't care much if anyone takes them. I can see where this site might play a role in the classroom for a project or activity requiring students to find or upload photos.
